Within Matthew’s paintings
there is a fragment of conscience, mistrust and just enough information
to force the viewer to fill in the rest of the story. Although the work
addresses our current global political scene, it is really about the issues
that have been apart of our existence since the beginning of time: love,
war, nature, and the passing moments between yesterday and tomorrow.
Matthew Fisher was born in Boston, Massachusetts and now lives and works
in Brooklyn, New York. He received his master of Fine Arts degree from
Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000, and his undergraduate degree
from Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio. |
